Armor-all

With drugs for everything
And defended borders,
With homes controlled for
Air and dust,
With water clean
And food prepared by expert hands,
With warm showers, and fire
on cold nights,
With cars to take us from here to there
And laws to keep us safe,
With glasses to improve vision
And others to prevent glare,
With pensions, disability, and medicare,
With underwear, outerwear, overwear,
With coats of other animals skin,
And shoes of cow and snake,
With watches to tell time
And phones to communicate.
With planes to bring us home,
And liquor to take us away,
With computers and televisions,
And TIVO's and double paned glass,

In the safest times in humankind
Our loneliness doesn't change.

Humanity

To those seeking answers,
I forfeit this knowledge;
